It is in the fall of 2021 that the musicians Arno Piters and Fons Verspaandonk are staying at the Château du Pommoy to explore the Morvan together by bike. They appreciate nature, tranquility and magnificent views. In the evening at the chateau, the idea arises to organize some concerts with befriended colleagues.

 

Ad (brother of Fons) and Iteke, owners of Château du Pommoy and musicians themselves, have always wanted to organize regular cultural events in their large and luxurious holiday home.

 

Enthusiastic, the first preparations are made, an association is founded, an experienced board is recruited and the name is chosen because of the beautiful starry nights in the garden of the chateau: International Chamber Music Festival Les Étoiles du Morvan.

 

Fellow musicians - from the Concertgebouworkest-Amsterdam and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra are happy to say "yes" to this great initiative. The environment, the location and the chateau provide an inspiring place for musicians to take the time to play chamber music and treat the audience to the finest works.
